The as weld microstructure reveals the dentritic mode of grain solidification, whereas, post annealing reveals a finer and columnar micro dentritic structure. Vickers micro-hardness and tensile strength of the annealed weld joints, as per standard procedure, were determined and correlated with the as-welded one.
