Abstract

Low cycle fatigue (LCF) behavior of high temperature titanium alloys and its composites designed for high temperature applications is reviewed .It is been observed that  the fatigue life of titanium alloys strongly depends on the type of alloy, processing and microstructure. In general LCF life decreases with temperature, however it increases at intermediate temperature, the region of dynamic strain aging (DSA). LCF behavior of the composites depends on type of the composite and several other factors such as the nature of the matrix and that the second phase.
